A year after setting up its Dubai office, Melbourne-headquartered creative communications and digital innovation agency PENSO has named its first client services director in the Middle East, Mohammed Ajawi.
Ajawi joins PENSO from Havas, where he worked as client services director for more than four years with brands including Ooredoo, FGB, Chalhoub and Emirates. He has also worked in client service roles at agencies including McCann, Flip Media and Publicis Graphics and has extensive experience in digital first account management, social media and production.
The agency has created the new role in order to keep pace with its growth. It works closely with a range of Emirates Group businesses, IMG Worlds, Hilton Group.
In May, Abu Dhabi-based asset management business Miral appointed PENSO to manage social, content, and digital duties for Yas Island.
Darius LaBelle, general manager at PENSO, says in a statement: “Mohammed is an admired client service leader. With experience at large networks, like many of us at PENSO, combined with his background across finance, telcos, FMCG, and automotive, we are sure he will help drive growth for our partner’s businesses.”
Ajawi adds: “As the market in the UAE and wider region continue to evolve, and large networks continue to see an erosion of fees and challenging new models of remuneration, the opportunity for nimble and progressive models that like that of PENSO’s is unlimited.”
